On the North wall in The Cellars on the ground floor of the winery are two large tapestries designed by American abstract artist Ed Moses and woven by Jacquard Tapestry in Belgium. Born in Long Beach, California in 1926, Moses is best known in his native USA as one of the founders of the post-war abstract movement which accompanied the Beat Generation of writers and artists. The works are part of Glenn Schaeffer’s personal collection, on loan to Woollaston Estates.
