Woollaston Estates beautiful surroundings make the Cellar Door a perfect location for winery events including live music, theatre and poetry readings. During Spring and Summer there is live music on the lawn the first Sunday of each month from 12 - 4pm. This winery event is free and a wonderful way to enjoy all that Woollaston Estates has to offer - purchase a bottle of award-winning wine and a tasting platter or bring a picnic lunch to enjoy. In January Woollaston Estates sponsor the Woollaston Nelson Jazz and Blues Festival, incorporating 8 days of jazz and blues events, and over 60 performances throughout the Nelson region. Artists from Nelson, New Zealand and beyond perform in a variety of venues throughout the region, including 5 events at the winery: three concerts in The Cellars in the ground floor level of the winery and two free jazz concerts on the lawn next to the Cellar Door. Other winery events include hosting a concert in The Cellars and a literary event on the lawn as part of the Nelson Arts Festival in October. The Cellars and Cellar Door at the winery are available for private functions and events such as dinners, weddings and business meetings, and access may occasionally vary from the published opening hours due to private or winery events - to avoid disappointment please check our website for any changes. |
